Wales is set for a brighter spell of weather today after a cloudy and wet start, although temperatures will remain on the chilly side.
According to the Met Office, rain will gradually clear southeastwards through the morning, making way for a mixture of patchy cloud and sunny spells.
A few showers are expected to develop during the afternoon, while a moderate northerly breeze will make it feel chilly. Winds will be gustier around southwestern coasts.
Temperatures will reach a maximum of 15°C.
Chilly night ahead
Patchy cloud and scattered showers will continue into this evening and overnight.
It will be noticeably chillier than last night, particularly across inland rural areas, where temperatures could fall as low as 3°C.
Thursday
Thursday will begin with sunny spells mixed with scattered showers during the morning.
Conditions are expected to turn dry for a time before cloud increases during the afternoon.
Temperatures will be around average for the time of year, reaching a maximum of 15°C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday
Friday will bring cloud and rain, with the heaviest rainfall expected over western hills.
The rain will clear southeastwards from around midday onwards, leaving a mixture of patchy cloud and scattered showers into Saturday.
Similar conditions are expected on Sunday, with patchy cloud and further scattered showers.
