A teenage fab four responded magnificently after having their hearts broken when their mum shared the awful news that she had cancer. A woman who left her dog and cat starve at her Cardiff home has been banned from keeping animals for three years. Chloe Britton of Cardiff, pleaded guilty to three offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and appeared for sentencing at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on October 10 this year. As well as the disqualification, Britton was handed a 12-month community order under which she has to complete 20 Rehabilitation Activity (RAR) days and fined £40. Research from the University of South Wales (USW) has contributed to a new education pack for schoolchildren to learn about the history of nuclear testing programmes around the world. Launched earlier this week at the Senedd, home of the Welsh Parliament, the education pack has been developed by LABRATS International – a campaign group dedicated to raising awareness of the Atomic and Nuclear testing programmes throughout history, and the impact on the thousands of people involved. A man from South Gloucestershire has been jailed after booking a B and B room in Swansea and planning to use it to have sexual activity with what he believed was a teenage girl. 49-year-old Rodolfa Galvao, from Yate, had been communicating online with the account purporting to be the underage girl. However, the account was in fact operated by a decoy group. Galvao was arrested after being confronted by the group in Parc Tawe ahead of his planned stay in a Mumbles B and B. Daniel Flynn, from Rumney, Cardiff, is wanted on suspicion of escaping from lawful custody while he was on an hospital escort. Just after 7pm on Monday, October 13, South Wales Police received a report that an individual had escaped lawful custody from prison staff while at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff. Flynn, 24, was last seen at the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department which he was attending for medical treatment.
