Cardiff jewellery thief jailed for five years after stealing up to £50000 worth of jewellery. Remiah Fyffe-Gayle, 29, from London, travelled to Cardiff on 22 April and entered the Pravins store in St David’s Centre. Staff became suspicious after he asked to look at a number of diamond rings, which he claimed were for an upcoming engagement. He was shown three rings, which he grabbed suddenly and made for the exit. A £1.2MILLION grant programme will help future-proof community organisations in Denbighshire. The new Denbighshire Key Fund will provide revenue and capital support to third sector groups in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Brexit, and other economic challenges including the national cost-of-living and energy crises. Led by Ruthin-based Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council (DVSC), the scheme is financed via the UK Government’s Levelling-Up Fund.
