Work to replace a damaged footbridge off Pantybrad, between Tonyrefail and Llantrisant, will get underway next week – to enable a closed public right of way to reopen. RCT Council will repair the bridge’s abutments and replace the structure (pictured), which carries the public right of way ANT/172/1 that is currently closed due to the bridge’s condition. The work will start on Monday, August 21, and is anticipated to last around three weeks. A project which provides technical and commercial support to the Welsh food and drink industry has reported that it has delivered over £355 million impact to the sector since it launched in 2016.
