Jeremy Evans, 52, has been jailed for five years for sexual assault. Evans assaulted a woman in March 2021 after making sexually inappropriately comments towards her, the judge remarked this behaviour was in effect his attempt to groom her. Evans then proceeded to wait for her to be alone, intoxicated and in a vulnerable state before he sexually assaulted her. The victim reported the incident to police the following day and Evans was arrested. South Wales Police was called just after 8.20am by Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service to a report of a black Honda Jazz car on fire. Emergency services attended and a man and woman were taken to hospital with burns. 77-year-old Helen Clarke died on Sunday evening, 24th September, in Morriston Hospital. Her family are being supported by specialist officers. 80-year-old David Clarke has been charged with murder. He appeared at Swansea Magistrates Court yesterday morning. An abandoned dog found wandering the streets of St Mellons in Cardiff, and taken in by Cardiff Dogs Home, has become one of South Wales Police’s newest recruits. The team at the Dog’s Home work closely with South Wales Police, who spotted that the Belgian Malinois, called Sid, had all the attributes needed to become a police dog. When Sid became available for adoption, it was decided he would join South Wales Police temporarily to see if he could pass the assessments.
