StudentDigz, Swansea’s largest independent student letting agency, has completed the acquisition of a large Swansea-based lettings business in a deal that doubles the size of the company’s portfolio of properties under management. The deal means that StudentDigz is now responsible for letting or fully managing more than 500 properties in South West Wales, which become a home to some 2,000 students every year. New research released  by The Kennel Club, ahead of Diwali and Bonfire Night celebrations, shows an alarming 100 per cent increase in the number of dogs that go missing during fireworks season as well as highlighting that thousands of UK canine companions suffer from stress and worrying behavioural changes during fireworks displays. Daring to Dream is a young and ambitious charity whose mission is to support the emotional health and wellbeing of adult patients in Wales. One of the ways in which they do this is transforming patient day rooms, relatives’ rooms and quiet rooms in hospital. They have completed another two such rooms in the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) in the last month: the relatives’ room and quiet room in critical care. The Coronavirus control measures in place at Ceredigion’s Household Waste Sites have been under continual review since the sites reopened in summer 2020. The latest review, which takes into account the reduced use of the sites over the winter period, has resulted in some changes which will take effect on 1 November 2021.
