Will Renwick has been running across every single mountain in the country – 500 miles South to North, solo and unsupported. Over two hundred people took part in The Sparkle Walk on September 18, raising thousands of pounds to support the work of City Hospice, Cardiff’s local hospice. Participants donned glitter and glowsticks for the 10k night-time walk, with many also carrying photographs of their loved ones to keep them and their memory close during the event. Chepstow based IQ Endoscopes has completed a Series A equity funding round exceeding £4 million. The round has been led by the Development Bank of Wales and Creo Medical PLC . A Flintshire hotel and conference centre has invested £500,000 into the first stage of a wide-scale refurbishment as it aims to make a strong rebound post-pandemic. The Beaufort Park Hotel in New Brighton has undergone a major refurbishment of its main function centre as well as the first phase in a total redesign of the hotel’s 105 rooms. Today, 4 October 2021, the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) has launched an eight-week consultation on how its services will help Welsh language speakers make the most of their money and pensions.  The consultation, which is available on the MaPS website, invites all those with an interest in the Welsh language or MaPS services to read a new draft Welsh Language Scheme and feedback thoughts and comments by 5pm on Friday 26 November 2021.  All feedback in response to this consultation will be considered when finalising the Scheme.
