A KIND-hearted teenager found an egg-cellent way to help make Easter extra special this year for care home residents in Wrexham. Miss Teen Wrexham, Lilly-Anne Gibson, spearheaded a goodwill drive to provide Easter eggs for the residents of the Pendine Park care organisation she has been writing to throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. A team of 4×4 volunteers who helped snowbound NHS staff at the beginning of the year are expanding their service across North Wales thanks to a cash boost from a police charity. Charity 4×4 Response Wales are upgrading critical communications equipment and training more members after receiving a £2,000 grant from The Police and Community Trust North Wales (PACT). The voluntary organisation assists police, emergency planners and other blue light responders by offering their 4×4 vehicles in a crisis. A man has bravely told of how he overcame suicidal feelings and years of alcohol misuse after being sexually abused by his foster father at the age of 13. A new, national touring exhibition, which shows how shared processes, skills and values associated with creative making contribute to thriving commons neighbourhoods, is set to be launched in Newtown when galleries are allowed to reopen. “The commons means: Things we share, Places we share, Systems we share, Ideas we share and Culture we share,” said Peter Barnes, On the Commons co-founder. A farm shop and kitchen in the heart of Ceredigion has been presented with a national rural business award. The Moody Cow Farm Shop and Welsh Kitchen, in Aberaeron, has won the Best Rural Diversification Projectcategory at this year’s Rural Business Awards. Adventure Travel, formerly known as NAT Group, has introduced additional services to support the new Bayside Mass Vaccination Centre on the former Toys R Us site in Cardiff Bay.
