With large crowds expected, the city centre will see extensive road closures and extra travel measures, so anyone heading in is being urged to plan ahead and give themselves plenty of time. Rush hour drivers are facing major delays on the M4 this evening after flooding forced the closure of a lane near Newport. The issue is affecting the eastbound stretch between junction 26 at Malpas and junction 25 at Caerleon, where lane 2 has been shut. Traffic is very slow through the area and delays are currently around 45 minutes. Motorists are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys while the flooding is dealt with.
