Wales rugby fans and bus users in Cardiff are being urged to plan their journeys ahead of time as the Six Nations returns to the city this weekend. Travellers are being reminded by Cardiff Bus of diversions and road closures which are set to come into force in the city centre on Saturday as Wales take on Scotland at the Principality Stadium. A mum has called for lessons to be learned after lawyers secured a record settlement for her son who has been left disabled following failings during his birth. An extremely frightened and cold cat has been freed from a three-inch narrow gap after becoming stuck between a garage and a wall. The RSPCA were alerted to the distressed cat this morning (9 March) at 7.30am at Conybeare Road, Penarth. Swansea University staff and students celebrated International Women’s Day with a group cycle ride from the University campuses to the Civic Centre. Riders from across the city joined the group that was led by a team of British Cycling accredited Ride Leaders. The University offered free use of the Santander Cycles for the ride which aimed to encourage more women into cycling. Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has provided an update on its inspection of tips across South Wales after Storm Dennis and the further heavy rainfall which has followed.  Unprecedented weather conditions hit the County Borough causing flooding in local communities on Sunday, February 16 – and further heavy rainfall has followed, including Storm Jorge (February 28-29).
