Principality Building Society has announced a funding pot of £25,000 for secondary schools to deliver financial education qualifications. The funding will allow 25 schools across Wales to access £1,000 in funding each so students can gain a qualification in financial capability from The London Institute of Banking and Finance (LIBF). Children’s charity Barnardo’s Cymru has received a donation of £2,000 from the Amazon fulfilment centre in Swansea to support its local services following the impact of COVID-19. The staff and volunteers at Barnardo’s Bays+ Leaving Care Service received a £1,000 cash donation and a donation of tablets, phones and WiFi routers worth £1,000 from the Amazon team to help increase the reach of its services across the region. North Wales-based housebuilder Redrow revealed the staggering number of people who applied for its Sponsored Construction Management Degree Programme – formerly known as Redrow’s Housebuilding degree – during the summer.
