LEADING Welsh independent school Christ College Brecon have welcomed a furry friend to their junior school to help pupils learning to read. Eight-year-old Golden Labrador, Tegan has recently joined St Nicholas House to spend three afternoons a week with students working to improve their reading ability. Extensive research has shown the value of bringing gentle animals, such as dogs, into schools to work with children. The Development Bank of Wales has invested £250,000 in Yimba, a fintech multimedia and marketing platform enabling banks to differentiate their mobile wallet offering and generate new consumer insights through advanced technology. What a difference a year has made for patients of a Gower surgery which is now in the very best of health after a £1.2 million transformation. The new-look Penclawdd Health Centre reopens this month after closing last spring for an extensive refurbishment. Five new consultation rooms have been created, along with two new treatment rooms. BookingLive has this week launched its new company headquarters at The Maltings in Cardiff’s dynamic tech hub, after securing £1.31 million in new investment from Blackfinch Ventures and the Development Bank of Wales.
