South Wales Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the A465 between Aberdulais and Resolven yesterday morning (23 January). A black Jeep Compass was in collision with a Scania heavy goods vehicle on the northbound carriageway shortly before 6.30am. The 52-year-old male driver of the Jeep died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The road was closed in both directions for approximately six hours to allow for investigative and recovery work.
