This year teams ran in a relay format through the main Caerphilly Big Cheese site, over the bridge to the Castle’s rear entrance and back to the main site. Thousands of visitors watched the whole of the race from the event site cheered on this year’s competitors. The Wales Farm Safety Partnership will receive £46,000 to promote Health and Safety within the agricultural and forestry sector, Cabinet Secretary for Energy, Planning and Rural Affairs Lesley Griffiths announced this week. A team of four Cardiff Met staff successfully took on the famous ‘Monte Carlo or Bust Rally’ last week to raise money for the University’s Student Hardship Fund. After purchasing a car for under £500, the group joined more than 70 teams to travel across five European cities in three days in aid of charity.
