The Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales, Ken Skates has confirmed that the A470 between Talerddig and Dolfach will reopen as planned on 11 April with traffic management in place. The works involving complex and extensive repairs to the retaining wall above the adjacent Afon Laen involved the full closure of the road between 20 January and 11 April. 2-way traffic lights will now be reinstalled at the site whilst a safety barrier is installed. The family of a 47-year-old woman who sadly died following a collision in Wrexham, have paid tribute to her. Lydia La Polla, from Wrexham, died in hospital on Wednesday, 26 March, following the incident in Hightown shortly after 9.30pm on Monday, 24 March. The collision happened between Belgrave Road and Percey Road, as a silver Mercedes car made off from police and collided with a Toyota car that Lydia was travelling in. Pembrokeshire County Council has signed a lease with a local aviation company for the operation of Haverfordwest Airport, securing the future of the important facility. Haverfordwest Airport provides emergency services with an operating base locally, promotes economic opportunities for the area and allows commercial and private operators to fly in and out of the County.
