Neath Port Talbot Council has entered into an agreement with long established fairground company Studts Events Ltd to bring a spectacular, 118ft high ‘big wheel’ ride to the Aberavon Seafront this year. Subject to planning permission, the ride, known as The Big Wheel at Aberavon Seafront, will operate in the summer months up to 2027. Pupils and staff at Pontyclun Primary School will return to a brand new, first-class learning environment following the half term break. Construction of a new main building for the school has recently been completed, following a major joint investment by the Council and Welsh Government. The modern two-storey building is ready to open its doors for the first time, and will welcome pupils from Thursday, March 6. Work will soon begin on site in Holyhead to strengthen the grid connection for the Menter Môn Morlais tidal energy scheme.
