It was the biggest ever Barry Island 10K with more than 4,300 runners signed up to take part and a new course record set in the women’s race. The race was back in the popular seaside town after a year-long hiatus taking runners on a tour of the town’s most scenic seaside spots and recognisable landmarks – including Whitmore Bay, the Knap, Romilly Park and Watch House Bay. A 28-year-old male from Talbot Green has today been sentenced for attempted murder and nine other offences following a violent attack at Talbot Green Police station on Friday 31 January. Alexander Dighton today, June 13, appeared at Central Criminal Court where he was handed a life sentence of 22 years and 235 days minimum after the court confirmed the incident to be terrorism related. Ceryx Medical is a Cardiff-based business working on revolutionary new pacemaker technology, aimed at helping patients with long-term heart failure.
