Ceryx Medical is a Cardiff-based business working on revolutionary new pacemaker technology, aimed at helping patients with long-term heart failure. The business has successfully completed a £5 million equity investment round, led by the Development Bank of Wales and Parkwalk Advisors, the UK’s largest investor in university spinouts, alongside contributions from BGF, Bristol Private Equity Club and other investors. General entries into the Brecon Carreg Porthcawl 10K have now sold out with one month to go until race day. This means the only way runners are able to take part is through one of the charity spaces available, including with the event’s lead charity Tŷ Hafan, or in one of the supporting junior races. South Wales Police is continuing its investigation into the shooting which happened in Clos Y fynnon, Pontprennau, Cardiff at approximately 8pm on Saturday, June 7. Officers are continuing their appeal for information and in particular are appealing to motorists driving in the area at the time. Anyone who travelled through Pontprennau or Pentwyn, who may have used Church Road or the A4232 (Pentwyn link road) between 7pm and 7.50pm on Saturday, June 7, is urged to submit their dashcam footage. South Wales Police are appealing for information following a near miss involving an electric bike rider and a jogger on Cowbridge Road West, Ely. The incident took place on the footpath on Wednesday, 11 June, when the rider of an e-bike narrowly avoided colliding with a jogger. After swerving past, the rider crashed into a bin and came off the bike. They then quickly retrieved the e-bike and rode away from the scene. The incident was captured on CCTV and officers are now seeking help from the public to identify the individual on the electric bike. They are also keen…

Two women have died following an incident in Nant Gwynant, Gwynedd on Wednesday, 11th June. Police were called at 21:31hrs following a report that one female had been pulled from the water, and another was reported to be in the water at the pools on the Watkin Path. The Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team were dispatched to the area along with North Wales Police, the Air Ambulance and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter.
