An upgraded neighbourhood skate park is now open and ready to use at Coed Bach Park in Pontarddulais in a boost for local skateboarders, BMXers and fans of other wheel sports. An important Resilient Roads scheme has now been completed at Turberville Road in Porth, designed to reduce the risk of highway flooding during storm events. Targeted work to deliver the Welsh Government-funded scheme got underway in November 2024, to upgrade the existing highway headwall inlet structure. The existing watercourse channel and upstream drainage infrastructure have also been upgraded, with the aim of improving the conveyance of water to the new headwall.
