Velindre Cancer Charity’s first ever ‘Show Cancer The V’ fun run took place in Bute Park, Cardiff, on Sunday, 19 July. More than 800 people took part, raising over £75,000 for patients, families and staff at Velindre Cancer Service. ‘Show Cancer The V’ was created to fill a gap in the charity running calendar. The Rabbit Run Wales will return in 2027 with a brand new Half Marathon, following the biggest event in the trail race’s history. Almost 2,000 runners took part in this year’s event, tackling the popular 12K course alongside the new Marathon, Marathon Relay and Ultra distances. Six entrepreneurs from across Wales have been recognised for outstanding progress at the conclusion of the latest Business Wales Start-Up Accelerator, a ten-week programme helping high-potential founders move from concept to first customer. Black Sheep Coffee is continuing its North West expansion, with plans to grow across North Wales and Cheshire as part of a new development agreement that will bring a minimum of 9 new stores to the region.
