Azets has announced three senior promotions at its Cardiff office. Andrew Isaacs, David Holden and Oliver John have been made Partners, reflecting Azets’ continued investment in developing its people and strengthening its regional leadership team.

Having joined Azets as a Trainee in 2007, Andrew has been promoted to Accounting and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) Partner. Working with a diverse range of SMEs and Owner Managed Businesses across Wales and England, he provides accountancy and advisory services to clients spanning sectors such as property development and investment, professional services, healthcare, energy, manufacturing and engineering, retail and travel. His expertise covers compliance work, business strategy, financial forecasting and cloud accounting systems, including those aligned with Making Tax Digital.

Also promoted to ABAS Partner, David has extensive experience in both practice and industry as a qualified Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Based in the Cardiff office, he leads the regional Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) review work. David works closely with a broad portfolio of privately owned businesses across sectors, including manufacturing, engineering, research and development, and professional services. His expertise covers financial management, compliance, strategic planning, and tax, helping clients understand their financial position and make informed decisions for sustainable growth.

Oliver has been promoted to Tax Partner within the specialist Share Advisory team at Azets, focusing on tax matters related to shares and shareholders. He advises on a wide range of issues, including tax-efficient capitalisation through SEIS and EIS, employee share incentives, exit planning for family-owned and SME businesses, and family wealth preservation via family investment companies. Oliver began his career with a Big Four firm, working in both Bristol and London as part of the M&A Management Tax Advisory team, before leading the regional share schemes team at a top 8 firm. Oliver also contributes to Croner as an EMI specialist.

Richard Goddard, Regional Managing Partner at Azets, commented: “In total, we promoted 16 people in our Cardiff office, and seven in our Swansea office, which showcases our commitment to promoting talent from within the business. Each has demonstrated exceptional commitment, expertise, and ambition, and I’m proud to see their achievements recognised as part of our continued investment in people and growth across the UK. Our team is growing across both general and specialist sectors in a variety of service lines, which reflects the demand from our clients.”
