The much-anticipated Caerphilly Interchange proposal has entered its third and final phase of public consultation and engagement.

Drawing upon the success of the previous Stage 2 consultation, which was centred around gathering insights regarding the site’s design and functionality, significant progress has been made in refining the proposal. This progress has been guided by the invaluable feedback provided by residents during the previous engagement process.

The latest phase of the consultation is once again asking for resident’s views on the refined proposals for the new interchange.

For the duration of this consultation, there will be a model of the proposed design available for residents to view at Caerphilly Library. Residents and local stakeholders are invited to participate in this exhibition, which aims to present the final proposals for the Interchange and highlight the feedback received from the community that has helped shape these plans.

The proposed interchange will transform the way people travel to and from Caerphilly. It will effortlessly connect people with trains, buses, taxis and active travel options. The consultation process will be open from the 5th –16th June.

Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Prosperity, Regeneration and Climate Change, Cllr Jamie Pritchard commented:

“The final stage of the consultation on the transport interchange offers residents another opportunity to outline their views. The Caerphilly Interchange will become a distinct feature of the town, enhancing the visitor appeal for future generations.

“This project serves as an addition to the broader Caerphilly 2035 Placemaking plan, alongside other key initiatives such as the Ffos Caerffili market in the town centre.

“Once again, I encourage you to explore the proposed plans and take the opportunity to have your voice heard in shaping the future of our county borough.”

Residents who have any specific requirements such as access, hearing loop, require translation facilities or wish to use the Welsh language at the event are asked to please contact us on 07933174352 or [email protected].
