How Wales has been lapping up an early taste of summer

As promised by ‘Derek the Weatherman’, the warm sunshine finally reached Wales today (Wednesday 18th April), as temperatures climbed to 20°C across the country.

Although many of us woke to a rather cloudy and cool Wednesday morning, the Met Office claims today will mark the hottest day of the year so far.

We’ve taken a look at your tweets from today to find out how Wales has been making the most of an early summer.

Making the most of Barrybados

Dusting off the wheels

Even these fellas are getting in on it

And one for us too…

How do you get to… 1B, 2B… 10B

Practicing whilst we can

The glimmering sun on the River Usk

Post-work run along the Rivertaff in Butepark

Or attempting to…

Fair play Wales, you’ve done good

Finishing today soaking up the sunshine in Aberaeron
