With a fire-break lockdown underway in Wales, and the prospect of spending more time at home for a while, residents of Neath Port Talbot are being reminded of the fantastic range of online books and magazines free to download for NPT Libraries members.

Cllr Peter Rees, Cabinet Member for Education, Skills and Culture said:

“One of the five main restrictions of the coronavirus fire-break is that everyone must stay at home, except for very limited purposes including food shopping, medical reasons or exercise, alone or with people you live with.

“So, now is a good time to remind everyone that our libraries are just as accessible online as they are in person, offering a range of books and magazines, 24/7 and free to download from the safety of your own home.”

With the best range of online content since digital lending began, BorrowBox provides a wider range of books and audiobooks than ever before. The selection of international bestselling titles is constantly expanding to offer the best and latest content. Members can download books, audiobooks and the BorrowBox mobile app via the NPT Libraries website at www.npt.gov.uk/libraries.

There are also hundreds of top magazine and comic titles available for library members. To access these, members will need to create an RB Digital account via their website or on the mobile app. Simply create an account using your library membership card and your all ready to go.

The Neath Port Talbot Library Service offers other resources that can be accessed online such as Ancestry to explore your Family Tree, ZipTales interactive stories for children and Theory Test Pro for new drivers to practice the UK’s driving theory test. All of these services and more and be accessed at www.npt.gov.uk/libraries.

Joining the library is free and this this can also be done through the website.

For those who require assistance in accessing online services, library staff will be available via email [email protected] and telephone 01639 899829 to help with the process.
