An award-winning PR agency has strengthened its team through an internal promotion and a new recruit to support its growing client base.

Mold-based Outwrite PR has promoted Cal Behrendt to account manager and recruited Tom Norris as an account executive off the back of 11 new account wins in 2021, including mechanical and electrical contractor Ash Integrated Services and broadband provider Voneus.

With a 100 per cent retention rate and four clients returning to the agency in the past year, recruitment of additional account executives and account managers is continuing in the first month of 2022.

The PR and communications agency recruited three new team members in the last 12 months and is starting this year off in a similar vein.

Outwrite has welcomed former North Wales journalist Tom Norris as an account executive who holds a decade of experience as a sports reporter at the Leader newspaper, interviewing world stars such as Gareth Bale and Warren Gatland.

Tom said: “I relish the opportunity to join an agency which is clearly going in the right direction courtesy of its commitment and dedication to each and every client it works with.

“After spending time in a digital marketing role, the chance to dust off some of my journalism experience and skills was a real pull and I look forward to getting to know the world of PR and adding important knowledge and expertise to my current skillset.”

In addition, Cal, who joined Outwrite in April as an account executive has been promoted to an account manager to oversee client relationships and support the internal team in delivering impactful campaigns.

He said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my first eight months at Outwrite as I continue to take on new challenges while working alongside some fantastic clients.

“In the next year and as the agency continues to grow, I’m looking forward to developing my skillset further and managing relationships both internally and externally so we can consistently deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.”

Outwrite PR managing director Anthony Bullick said: “Promoting from within is always our number one goal, and Cal has impressed the team and our clients with his work and attitude. I’m looking forward to seeing him progress further.

“Growing the team through recruitment is always a challenge to find someone with the right skills as well as who will be good fit culture-wise. Tom has settled in really well and is already an important part of the team.

“Our greatest strength as a team is that we combine a genuine passion to tell clients’ stories with a real desire to share these stories across different platforms.

“At the moment, we’re looking to recruit more talent into the team so we can continue to deliver integrated PR and communications campaigns and strive for further sustainable growth for our agency.”
