Orbis Education and Care’s staff and pupils have embraced the Christmas spirit by donating 100 festive goodie bags to two local children’s charities, as part of its Build a Bag Christmas charity campaign.
Located across Wales, including Cardiff, Swansea and Brecon, Orbis’ homes and schools have been busy preparing bags and filling them with Christmas gifts and everyday essentials for patients at both Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital located at Cardiff’s Heath Hospital, as well as Dreams and Wishes – both charities are dedicated to helping seriously ill children.
The Build a Bag initiative encouraged Orbis Education and Care staff, pupils and residents to spread festive cheer this Christmas and make a difference, leading to dozens of donated bags to the charities.
Orbis Education and Care in one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist schools and homes, supporting children and adults with their needs by offering education, care, in-house therapeutic support, and adult community homes.
The campaign involved putting together bags for children aged between three and 16, filling them with fun gifts like games and toys as well as practical items like clothes and toiletries.
Lou Aubrey, Commercial Director at Orbis Education and Care said: “We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our staff and pupils and are thrilled to be able to give back to those in need this Christmas.
“It was incredibly moving to see the faces of the children when we delivered the bags. To be able to help both Noah’s Ark Charity and Dreams and Wishes, two charities close to our heart, is really rewarding especially at this time of year.
