Tickets are now available for the 2025 Gower Walking Festival. An annual celebration of Gower, the Festival is designed to encourage people to appreciate the area’s unique landscape and rich heritage while enjoying the many benefits of walking. This year, the Festival will run from Saturday 6th September to Sunday 14th September 2025.

Since its inauguration, 21 years ago, the GWF has set out to offer a diverse and sustainable programme of walking events, with minimal environmental impact, to educate and sometimes challenge all who take part.  This year is no different with more than 30 guided walks in and around the Gower Peninsula.

The Festival is expected to attract more than 500 participants, both locals and tourists, and offers something for everyone, of all abilities, from walks along the seafront to more strenuous 9 mile hikes. Themes for the walks vary from bays to bats, flora to fauna, the dawn chorus to jazz, the iron to the industrial age and Swansea football legends to pirates and smugglers. Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a walk that went from pub to pub!

Whether it’s to revisit much loved and familiar beaches, see the coast from a different perspective from the top of Cefn Bryn or Kilvey Hill or to discover something new about Gower, the dedicated GWF team of volunteers want to show off all it has to offer and invite you to join them over 9 magical days and enjoy Gower.
