A member of the public found the box at Ravenhill Park next to a path on Friday (24 February) with five kittens inside as well as a child’s pink dressing gown. One kitten had already died and sadly a further two died shortly after. The two kittens – one ginger and white and the other tortoiseshell – were just a few hours old when they were found with their umbilical cords attached. WORK is set to begin on a ground-breaking £14m health and wellbeing complex at Coleg Cambria. The state-of-the-art facility will be built at the college’s Yale site in Wrexham. Bodelwyddan-based Wynne Construction – which also developed the adjoining £21m Hafod campus – is to take on the project, which includes a fully furnished industry-standard commercial spa and juice bar, simulated medical wards and virtual reality environments. Roadchef’s Pont Abraham Motorway Service Area (MSA), located at Junction 49 on the M4 in Wales, has awarded Judith Beckett, one of its longest serving employees, with the Long Service Award for her 25 years of hard work. Judith first joined Pont Abraham Roadchef in 1998, where she worked at WHSmith as a cashier. Following Pont Abraham’s arrival of coffee chain, Costa, Judith took up the Branch Manager position, working alongside her sister and daughter. US fried chicken restaurant Popeyes® is opening the doors to its first restaurant in Wales next month, following the success of a string of new openings across the UK including Reading, Cambridge and Oxford.  The restaurant will officially open its doors in Cardiff at 11am Thursday 23rd March.
