Volunteers who help look after one of Wales’ finest castles and proudly showcase it to visitors are looking to add to their ranks. An open day is being held on Thursday, June 16, when anyone interested in joining the Friends of Oystermouth Castle can meet existing volunteers. Developers Andrew Scott Ltd announced to take forward the 21st Century School development for Ysgol Gymraeg Cwm Gwyddon. The vacant Cwmcarn High School site will see the construction of a state-of-the-art school development to host Ysgol Gymraeg Cwm Gwyddon in September 2023. Tesco has become the first supermarket in Wales to begin registering its defibrillators to a new national database that could improve cardiac arrest survival rates. With 110 defibrillators in Tesco stores across Wales and around 2,000 others registered in stores across the UK, it is the biggest single addition of defibrillators to the database so far. The database, called The Circuit: the national defibrillator network, aims to map all defibrillators in locations such as supermarkets, train stations and offices, allowing ambulance services to direct bystanders to the nearest registered defibrillator in an emergency.
