The A40 at Pontargothi Road Bridge will be closed later this month for essential emergency works. Traffic Wales has confirmed that the closure is needed to allow for debris removal, structural maintenance, and flood alleviation works to be carried out safely. The full closure will take place on Friday 26 September 2025, between 9.30am and 3pm. A diversion route will be in place during the works, and drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
