Plans for a Tiny Forest in Caerphilly’s Morgan Jones Park are progressing as plans to plant 600 trees are set. Climate Action Caerffili Gweithredu Hinsawdd (CACGH) are to hold an event, which will take place on Global Day of Action (6th November) and will not only see the planting of 600 trees, but will include open to all, fun-packed activities for the whole family. Detectives investigating the death of 21 year-old Keyron Curtis have charged a 24 year-old man with manslaughter. Daniel Howells-Thomas, of Llwynderi, Penywaun was also charged with an offence of common assault – this relates to a separate incident which occurred at the same location at approximately the same time on Sunday (Oct 17). He will appear before Merthyr Magistrates Court today. Detectives investigating the incident are continuing their appeal for information. Bridgend Male Choir took part in Parkinson’s UK’s Walk for Parkinson’s at Bute Park, Cardiff, raising £12,000 to help fund vital support for people affected by the condition.    Participants on the day had the choice of a 1 or 6-mile walking route around the park. The National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth is changing and developing services whilst remaining cautious about the risks associated with COVID-19. From November 1, visitors will not need to pre-book a visit to the library building and open access will be provided to exhibitions, Pendinas Café and shop, along with the Reading Room, although valid readers ticket are required.
