A new project to develop next-generation tidal turbine blades is underway in Wales, bringing together leading organisations from across the marine energy sector. Menter Môn Morlais Ltd, the owner of Europe’s largest consented tidal energy scheme, is playing a central role in driving this initiative forward. A mature student who once dreamed of becoming a doctor, but missed out on sitting her GCSEs due to illness, says returning to university to study something completely different helped her see that everything happens for a reason. More than 200 golfers and 55 teams, from across England, Scotland and Wales gathered at Clyne Golf Club for a charity tournament supporting children and families affected by kidney disease. The event was hosted by Swansea-based charity Popham Kidney Support, which provides practical, emotional and financial assistance to people across Wales living with kidney disease.
