TRIBUTES have been paid to a Welsh Ambulance Service call handler who has passed away at the age of 28. Louise Thomas was a 999 EMS Call Handler based in Cwmbran, having joined the Trust in August 2019. Louise, from Cefn Hengoed, had a genetic condition and had recently been diagnosed with cancer, for which she was receiving treatment. She passed away at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff on 09 April.
