A multi-million-pound UK government-funded programme has significantly benefitted Flintshire residents, with communities upskilled, local facilities enhanced, and business productivity increased. Having received more than £12.4m from the UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), Flintshire County Council has supported 26 projects to improve employment opportunities, foster business growth, and upgrade key amenities. The man who died in Barry on Monday night has been named as 38-year-old Kamran Aman. Police were called to a report of stabbing in Barry Road just before midnight on Monday, June 30. Father of one Kamran died, and a murder investigation was launched. His family continue to be supported by specially trained officers. An incident room has been set up at Cardiff Central Police Station and detectives are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward. A man from Neath Port Talbot has been jailed after he was found guilty of rape and several other offences. 29-year-old Curtis Evans, from Glynneath, raped his victim on three occasions in June 2024. He also strangled her, and on another occasion bundled the victim into his car whilst telling her he was going to kill her. After pleading not guilty to all charges, Evans was found guilty of three counts of rape and one count of intentional strangulation as well as one count each of kidnapping, threats to kill, ABH and stalking.
