Robin Jones, the managing director of the award-winning Village Bakery, revealed plans were underway to replace the state-of-the art production facility on Wrexham Industrial Estate following the devastating blaze four weeks ago. Architects have already been engaged and they are looking at two possible options, either to rebuild on the original site or on nearby land in Ash Road which they already own and have planning permission for. A MANCOT mum has braved a 10-mile obstacle course to raise money for a prostate cancer charity after her father was affected by the disease. For the second year running, Delyth Jones, a customer services representative for McCarthy Distribution, on Wrexham Industrial Estate, took part in the Tough Mudder Classic at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. A man has been jailed for eight years for multiple sexual offences against children. Lyndon Matthews, aged 35, of Barry, was sentenced at Newport Crown Court this week (Tue, Sep 17) after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a girl under 16 and one count of sexual assault on a girl under 13 by touching. The charges relate to two children. One count relates to an assault on a child in 2018. Two of the counts relate to assaults on a child between 2009 and 2010. Callous thieves appear to be targeting cars belonging to Morriston Hospital staff whilst they are busy going about their jobs treating patients and saving lives. Swansea Bay University Health Board employees are being warned to be on their guard, following reports of vehicles being targeted by thieves, with them either being stolen or stripped of parts.
