Three community facilities across Caerphilly County Borough are set to be transferred to local organisations as part of plans to support long-term community use and sustainable management. Road closures have been confirmed for the Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10K, which will take place on Sunday 10th May 2026. The event will see runners take on a new and improved route through Caerphilly town centre and surrounding areas, starting and finishing on Crescent Road. Following a licence review hearing on Tuesday 7th April 2026 Ceredigion County Council has revoked the Premises Licence for Rominos, Cardigan. The licence review was called by the Home Office Immigration Enforcement Team, who carried out four separate visits to the premises. Pensioners are being warned to be on high alert for scams as the recovery of Winter Fuel Payments begins this month. Almost two million people are expected to repay their winter 2025 payment due to their annual income being more than £35,000 – for most, an automatic process.
