Visitors to Clydach Vale Country Park may notice works activity this week, with routine maintenance activity scheduled over the weeks ahead. The Council will undertake the works from Monday, September 15, and they are planned to last until around the end of October 2025. Funding has been secured from Welsh Government’s Coal Tip Safety Grant Scheme for this initial phase of work, which will include vegetation clearance to maintain the drainage channels and culverts. A flood warning has been issued for parts of Trostre, Llanelli, with Natural Resources Wales (NRW) advising residents and businesses to take immediate precautions. The warning covers the River Dafen around Trostre, including the Industrial Park, Lower Trostre Road and parts of Trostre Retail Park.
