In a bid to raise money for BBC Children in Need, founders of Millbrook Dairy, David Evans and Kevin Beer, are driving a Tuk-Tuk adorned with a giant wedge of cheese from their headquarters in Bideford, Devon to the Orkney Islands in Scotland, covering 1,600 miles and making 29 stops along the way. A 33-year-old man has sadly died following a collision near Mold on Tuesday September 10th. Shortly after 2pm on Tuesday September 10th police were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A541at Rhydymwyn near to the junction with B5123. The rider of the motorbike who was from Flintshire, was airlifted to Aintree hospital, and sadly died on Thursday September 12th. A Famous Denbighshire bird colony has celebrated its 20th anniversary with another successful season for protecting the rare summer visitors. This year marks the 20th year Denbighshire Countryside Service has managed the Little Tern colony at Gronant Dunes. The site is the largest breeding colony found in Wales. It is known internationally as it contributes to over 10 percent of the entire UK breeding population as well as supplementing other colonies. Specsavers’ decision to expand into larger premises in Haverfordwest is further proof of the confidence of businesses in the future of the County Town.
