Following noise complaints, The Scala’s live music license was reviewed at a recent licensing committee. Concerns were raised by a local resident and a business owner around noise levels at the venue. Two men from Swansea have been jailed following the attempted robbery of a lone woman in Swansea earlier this year. 32-year-old Benjamin McConway, from Manselton, and 38-year-old Ashley Morrison, from Landore, threatened the woman with a hammer on Kings Road, Swansea Waterfront on Thursday January 18th. Both have been sentenced to 36 months in prison at Swansea Crown Court. New legislation has this week been passed in the Senedd that will modernise and simplify the process behind developing significant infrastructure projects in Wales.
