    “Active Best About”

“New 1 raw best about deals”

This is a drug dealer’s sales patter.

These messages were recovered from Jack Thomas’ ‘Fatz’ drugs line. Jack Thomas – who has the letters ‘Fatz’ tattooed on the fingers of his left hand – was jailed at Cardiff Crown court on Thursday (19 September).

Messages like this would be sent out to hundreds of people at a time. They imply the ‘purity’ and ‘availability’ of the crack cocaine he was selling.

Jack Thomas, 27, of Hilda Street, Barry, is the latest person to be jailed following a coordinated month-long operation in July this year to disrupt county lines drugs supply.

He was arrested at home on July 11 after officers executed a search warrant. There, officers seized phones which officers were able to link directly to another phone seized from a man believed to be a runner for Thomas a month before.

After that man’s arrest, Jack Thomas launched his drug line on a new phone but officers identified him after obtaining CCTV from where he bought the device.

Thomas pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and was jailed for 30 months at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday, September 20.
