The Summer season is stepping up, as the latest round of tickets for The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty are released at 8am on Monday, June 19.

Lido-lovers  will be able to purchase tickets for all sessions happening from July 1 – 31, including the new additional daytime swims.

The summer timetable is now in place, which will see on weekdays:

    • Two early morning lane/casual swims in the main pool and the activities pool.
    • Four daytime sessions where the main pool is open for lane/casual swimming and the splash pool is open for those with pre-schoolers.
    • Two after-school sessions where all three pools are open and the inflatable obstacle course, zorb and boats are out.

Weekends, bank holidays and school holidays will remain the same throughout the season, with two early morning swim sessions, followed by six family fun/casual sessions.

Cllr Ann Crimmings, Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Leisure, said: “It’s that time of year again when the weather (hopefully) hots up and Lido Ponty extends its opening hours to offer even more sessions in its heated outdoor pools.

“Early morning swims remain popular whatever the weather and we must say a huge thank you to our dedicated “Lido Lot” who are here for the first swims of the day, come rain or shine!

“The new timetable offers more opportunities to visit Lido Ponty in the day time for a lane or casual swim. As the splash pool with fountain is open, it’s also a nice place to take a little one on a sunny day when everyone else is in school – especially as you have the wider surroundings of Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and Lido Play to help you make a day of it.

“After school sessions are extremely popular so we do advise you book in advance. We can’t wait to see you at Lido Ponty for Summer 2023.”

    Useful information

Tickets for Lido Ponty are £3 for adults and free for those aged 16 and under. Tickets must be booked online in advance – there are no walk ups.
