Detectives investigating the death of Tomasz Waga on 28th January have charged a third man in connection with his murder. Mario Qato, 25, from Tottenham in London has been charged with murder and will appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court on Friday 23rd April. Two other men have already been charged in connection with his death and are remanded in custody awaiting trial. Businesses in Wales are being warned about a scam letter claiming to be from UK Government telling firms they need to buy Covid-19 detection air purifying devices. The National Anti-Fraud Network (NAFN) says the correspondence claims to be from the Covid Task Force, part of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and carries its logo. The address on the letter is that of a residential property in London and says it is advising of a change in the law for businesses and the requirement to have “Covid safe air purifiers” installed from 3 May 2021. Bridgend County Borough Council’s foster care team has launched a new, specialist in-house foster care service aimed at working with children and young people who find it difficult to live within a family environment owing to their experience of trauma. Caerphilly’s Cabinet are fully supportive of a new collaborative arrangement with Natural Resources Wales to manage one of the county’s top visitor attractions the Forest Drive at Cwmcarn, following a major investment along the seven mile route. During the operation to remove diseased larch trees, a significant refurbishment of the site saw the resurfacing of the forest drive and the installation of eight new recreational areas along the route. Following the latest Welsh Government review of Coronavirus restrictions, residents will be able to access Leisure for Life gyms and swimming pools in Rhondda Cynon Taf from Monday, May 3rd. This will include the brand-new facility located at Llys Cadwyn in Pontypridd, which will offer an exceptional fitness environment for customers. Further changes to the coronavirus restrictions have been announced by the First Minister Mark Drakeford today. The Welsh Government has confirmed further relaxations will be brought forward from 17 May to 3 May – including the resumption of indoor supervised activities for children, indoor organised activities for up to 15 adults, such as exercise classes, and the re-opening of community centres.
