Emergency staff are making a zero tolerance stand against violence after a patient spat at and tried to bite them – and grabbed one by the throat. The frightening incident at Morriston Hospital’s Emergency Department resulted in 19-year-old William Kory Mayberry being given a custodial sentence by a district judge this week. Detectives investigating a scam where fraudsters purport to be police officers have made an arrest. An 18 year old London man has been arrested in Cardiff yesterday evening on suspicion of Theft and Fraud. The arrest was in connection with a series of scams committed in the Penarth and Cardiff area today in which three elderly victims were conned in to handing over approximately £20,000.
