The Rhug Estate welcomed a group of Year Seven pupils from Ysgol y Berwyn, Bala, recently. The group of ten children and staff visited Rhug Farm as part of the Lead Creative Schools Scheme which explores new and creative approaches to teaching and learning. Ysgol y Berwyn pupils are working with lead artist, Jessica Balla, on a cross-curricular project responding to the theme of agriculture. The aim of the project is to approve attainment in numeracy. Detectives in Cardiff are investigating a serious assault which occurred on City Road on Thursday night (February 7th). Officers were called to an altercation involving several people near Chicken.Com at approximately 11.45pm. Armed officers were deployed to the scene alongside divisional officers, but those involved left prior to police arrival. A 17-year-old later presented at the University Hospital of Wales with stab wounds. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Welsh aluminium fabricator, Dudley’s Aluminium, has begun work on new student accommodation in Exeter. The project will redevelop the city’s former bus and coach station into state-of-the-art accommodation and will open in the summer of 2019. Dudley’s Aluminium is currently working on a similar project in Exeter for Global Student Accommodation. Past projects for the Welsh fabricator include the development of Cardiff’s £4million Central Square. Dudley’s secured the half a million pounds contract with Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd. South Wales Police is appealing for witnesses following a serious injury Road Traffic Collision that occurred at approximately 21:47 hours on Thursday 7th February 2019 at Clase Road, Morriston Cross, Swansea. A grey coloured Ford Focus motor vehicle was in collision with a pedestrian. The female pedestrian was conveyed to Morriston hospital with head injuries.
