WELSH scientists are hoping to revolutionise the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer using world-leading MRI technology that’s only available in Cardiff. Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer in men in Wales, with 2,500 cases diagnosed each year and 600 deaths annually. Bridgend County Borough Council has confirmed that action is being taken after a number of caravans gained access to playing fields at Litchard late on Monday evening. Council officers have initiated a legal process after visiting the location to engage with the caravan owners and advise them that they are parked illegally, and are working closely alongside partner agencies such as South Wales Police. Neath Port Talbot Council’s Environmental Health Team has successfully prosecuted a woman in the Amman Valley for failing to stop feeding wildlife after her actions attracted a substantial number of rodents to the area. A Primary School, an equine business and neighbouring residents in Tairgwaith were reporting many sightings of rats following the woman’s failure to comply with a legal notice that had been previously issued.
