A SKILLS and support project for vulnerable and often disadvantaged young people will be rolled out across North Wales. Aimed at 16 to 25 year olds, the WeMindTheGap WeDiscover programme had a positive impact on participants in Conwy county. As a result, the scheme will now also be available to applicants who are NEET (not in Education, Employment or Training) in Wrexham, Flintshire, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, and Anglesey. Freight Logistics Solutions has announced a new service for clients to monitor their carbon footprint for the freight transport they book. FLS books vehicles based on their proximity to the required collection point not the origin of the vehicle, so the operations system is specifically designed to mitigate empty mileage through the identification of close proximity to collection point while always considering the filling of the return journey. Immersive digital experiences will soon have a new home in Wales’ national arts centre, as Wales Millennium Centre launches a full season of extended reality arts in a purpose-built space. The first space of its kind in a Welsh arts centre, Bocs (Welsh for ‘box’) will present a programme of 360° films and projections as well as extended reality (XR) experiences – including augmented reality, mixed reality and virtual reality (VR).
