Triton Construction has secured a contract to deliver a new 80-bed Premier Inn hotel in Porthmadog, North Wales. The £5.4 million instruction through Liberty Properties includes the design and build of the hotel on the former site of Ty Moelwyn Tax Office, as well as external services, roads, yards and car parking. Cardiff-based AI research company, AMPLYFI has partnered with Georgetown University’s Center for Security & Emerging Technology (CSET) to develop a new machine learning platform capable of uncovering previously unlisted companies. A trio of Welsh companies has successfully passed SALSA food safety certification audits thanks to the support of the Welsh Government and EU-backed Project HELIX. Rhondda Cynon Taf based SamosaCo is celebrating securing the crucial certification whilst Powys based Cradoc’s Savoury Biscuits and Monmouthshire’s Trealy Farm Charcuterie have successfully extended their certification. A South Wales company has developed an innovative way to recycle single use personal protective equipment (PPE) in a bid to tackle the mountain of waste being produced as a result of the pandemic.
