Work on regenerating the Harbourside Strategic Employment Site in Port Talbot’s former docks area is to begin next week (March 22nd). Improvement work at the site will be the catalyst for Neath Port Talbot Council’s redevelopment of the town’s former docklands into a thriving waterfront business and industrial centre attracting further private investment to help drive employment growth. Two new collections of art created by people across Swansea have gone on show in the city centre. The work brightens up safety hoardings around the £135m Copr Bay project that will help regenerate the city. Those involved in the new artworks include young people from the YMCA Swansea’s Young Carers Service plus refugees and people seeking asylum who attend the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery’s Welcome Group. RCT Council can confirm that the Community Testing programme currently in operation across Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board area will be extended to four further locations in RCT from Sunday, March 21. Residents are urged to take extra care and to be vigilant following the theft of storm drain gulley covers in Rhondda Cynon Taf overnight. Rhondda Cynon Taf Council and South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a spate of gulley cover thefts in the Rhydyfelin and Llantwit Fardre. Bouygues UK has been on site since spring last year and has made great progress on the £34.7m new state of the art, three-storey school building.
