Three of four recently-refurbished industrial units at the Llandough Trading Estate in Cardiff have been occupied following a spate of lettings in recent months. The headline NatWest Wales Business Activity Index – a seasonally adjusted index that measures the month-on-month change in the combined output of the region’s manufacturing and service sectors – registered 46.6 in November, up from 44.1 in October, to signal another monthly decline in output across the Welsh private sector. The world’s first preserved railway line, which is located in Mid Wales, has been nominated for two prestigious Heritage Railway Association awards. Talyllyn Railway, which has been running since 1865, has been shortlisted for the Internal Communications and Most Innovative Fundraising Idea awards, the winners of which will be announced on March 5, 2021. Pan-Wales youth singing organisation The Aloud Charity is hosting a virtual Christmas concert this Sunday evening (December 20) to provide some festive joy. The uplifting, free concert will feature Only Boys Aloud, along with special guests, performing a varied repertoire as well as seasonal favourites. Dragon Taxis has donated a variety of food items to support children and young people experiencing poverty in the county. The Torfaen Santa Appeal, run by Torfaen Social Services, provides food and gifts to young people who would otherwise miss out at Christmas time.
