Motorists are being advised to avoid part of the A48 in Cardiff following a collision, with the road currently closed in one direction. South Wales Police confirmed they are at the scene of the incident, which has led to the eastbound carriageway being closed between Gabalfa and Llanedeyrn. A man has been sentenced and fined over a fly-tipping offence, after loose knives and household waste was found dumped in Neath. Investigators located several black bags on Foundry Road, adjacent to the steps linking to Meadow Road, in an area commonly known as Eaglesbush Valley and frequently used by nature lovers. As the waste was being inspected, an individual in a Range Rover approached inspectors expressing frustration and using abusive language. A 17-year-old female has sadly died following an incident in Llanddulas. Shortly before 9.30am today, 13 April, the teenager was found in the area of Craig Nant Dulas on Rhydyfoel Road. Emergency services, two air ambulances and mountain rescue volunteers attended the scene, where she was sadly pronounced deceased. The death is not being treated as suspicious, and the coroner has been informed. Chief Inspector Steve Pawson said: “My deepest thoughts and condolences are with her family, who have been informed of the tragic incident. “We kindly ask that the privacy of the family is respected at this difficult time.”
